God doesn’t have love, God IS love (1 John 4:8).
More specifically agape love, a selfless love. A pure and sacrificial love (John 3:16) that it’s not based on what we do.
There is NOTHING we can do to earn it, and make God love us more or love us less. His love is everlasting (Jeremiah 31:3).
God is patient (2 Peter 3:9), Kind (Titus 3:4), He does not envy, does not boast, He is not proud, nor rude, He is not self-seeking, and He is not easily angered, and He keeps no record of wrongs. God does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth (John 14:6). He always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. God never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
Because God loves us:
--Christ died for us even though we are sinners (Romans 5:8)
--Gave us the right to be “Sons of God” (1 John 3:1)
--He draws us to Him (John 6:44)
--He doesn’t wants us to perish (2 Peter 3:9)
If we choose to abide in His love, there is nothing that can separate us of that love.
People always say: “I don’t think a loving God would do this or that…” but:
As the dictionary says: Justice is “the administering of deserved punishment or reward.” In other words Justice is getting what we deserve.
God’s justice (Gen 18:25) is righteous and doesn’t do respect of persons (Lev 19:15); His justice is not distorted or partial (Deuteronomy 16:19), because: God is the Rock, His work is perfect: all his ways are judgment; He is a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He (Deuteronomy 32:4).
God’s justice is equal to all.
And we all deserve death. For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
Yes, a loving God takes lives away, because He is just.
He is not swayed by the world’s justice, by what we think justice is supposed to be.
If we don’t accept life (John 14:16), we will receive what we deserve: death.
Those who don’t accept life will be casted in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15) to be punished with everlasting destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:9). That is justice.
We reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7), if we sow sin we reap death (Romans 6:23).
The beautiful part is that:
He gives us an escape route: “to not receive death”. To not receive what we deserve.
The word mercy (‘chesed’ or ‘racham’ in the OT) is also translated to favor, compassion, kindness and loving-kindness. Because God loves us, He shows us compassion by extending us His mercy, consequently withholding the punishment we deserve.
Adam and Eve deserved death, they didn’t deserve descendants. We—sinners—are alive because He is rich in mercy, because of His great love (Ephesians 2:4).
Because God loves us, Jesus died for us so we could receive life instead of death, and we could be saved, by grace.
Salvation in the bible means to: save, deliver, protect, heal.
Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2) and Jesus reconciled the word to Himself (2 Corinthians 5) to serve as a bridge between God the father and us (1 Timothy 2:5).
God heals us (Exodus 15:26) from the disease that is sin. He served as our substitute and He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5).
Jesus saves us from God’s wrath/judgment (Romans 1:18): “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” ~ Romans 5:9
He will give us a life free of sin, suffering, and pain (Revelation 21:4). He’ll give us eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ~ John 3:16

Dear God
Why, God?
Why am I afraid to tell people
Just how much you mean to me
Why God?
Can't I tell them,
"You are there for me?"
Am I ashamed?
Or am I just afraid?
I want you to give me courage
I want to tell people,
"God is for me"
Why are people so scary?
Perhaps because I have lost friends,
all because I said,
"I believe in the Word of God"
So who is my true friend?
Man or God?
God, you are my true friend
It was you,
who held me tight
Who healed me
and loved me unconditionally
Your friendship is everlasting
Therefore, I shall not be afraid
No longer
For I know who are my real friends
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit
If people wish to leave me

Jesus's Love
Jesus's Love is Merciful and Forgiving—be Merciful when people wrong you and hurt you; do not delay in offering your forgiveness.
Jesus's Love is Gentle and Kind—be Gentle and Polite and Peaceable, when people oppose you; be Gentle when you correct people who wrong you.
Jesus's Love is Patient and Understanding—be Patient with yourself, for human nature is weak and in God's time it will heal; be Patient and Understanding with all those who irritate you and go against you— be Patient enough to give them sufficient time for repentance; be Patient in difficult circumstances, trusting that God will uphold us and never a

Lord, you know I love you
"Simon, son of Jonah -
do you love me?"
Oh Lord.
I can't look at you.
It breaks my heart.
You know I love you.
(I hope you do.)
But oh - I'm such a sinner!
"Feed my lambs."
"Simon, son of Jonah -
do you love me?"
Oh Lord.
Do you doubt me
as much as I doubt myself?
I said I didn't -
you know I never meant it.
I love you - but I'm a sinner.
"Tend my sheep."
"Simon, son of Jonah -
do you love me?"
Oh Lord.
Why must you hurt me so?
Have I not torn myself apart
asking the exact same thing?
Lord, you know all things -
you know that I love you,
that, even as I said
I knew you not,
I never stopped loving you.
Save me, Lor
