"Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me" Psalm 66:20
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him" 1 John 5:14-15
ok...maybe this is jsut me thinking tooo much or something, but to mea this looks like a woman in a wedding gown who has dropped the top of her gown in the front far enough that her breasts are exposed, and it me that seems more like a sexually suggestive image than an image which refers to prayer, unless perhaps the type of pray you are referring to is that of a man paying to find a wife, for sexual reasons.
the veiled sexual reference of this image rubs me the wrong way.
Well, to me she seems like she’s desperately praying to the lord. About the dress, I thought it would look really beautiful in the pic. But since you see the dress revealing in the front, wish is really interesting because I can’t see the front (And I’ve seen lots of dresses with really low backs but with high/normal cleavage in the front) I’ll tell you this, people can pray at God anytime, it doesn’t matter how they’re dressed, what they’ve done or who they are. I really don’t see the pic the way you do, but Oh well, we all have different points of view ^^
yeah, I understood what you saw, and how the image is supposed to work. in the church I being to we have very strict standards of modesty, such that showing that muck nakedness even in the back is considered immodest, but it is not that that leads me to believe she is naked in the front, but it is how the sleeves appear to be not just designed to fall off her shoulders but actually pulled down from the normal position.
and I'm not saying the picture is bad, I'm just saying the immodesty aspect sort of ruins it for ME. It's a well done image overall and I don't many people here will find the immodesty distracting.
different points of view help us see more dimensions
